However, my business career started back in 1996. and took place in two directions - Telecommunications Engineering and Environment. I started my career at JP PTT, then Telekom Srbija, as a data transmission engineer. After 5 years, I joined the young and prospective development team in the Directorate for Mobile Telephony. In that challenging position I have spent 15 great years learning and working on different jobs and projects in the country and abroad. These included integration of base stations, O&M, monitoring, proactive approach to network issues, and various projects such as a Single Ran, which involved replacing a lots of base stations with modern ones. I have also worked on several different Rollout and Swap projects, as well as Front Office Team Leader in: Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Egypt, Kenya, Madagascar, France and Romania. At the same time, I was seriously engaged in a completely different field, because I believed that telecommunications, although very important for the development of society and economy, cannot respond to all the challenges of today and bring sustainability by itself. So, I was educated in the field of Environmental protection science. After completing the Faculty of Applied Ecology and Specialization in Environmental Law at the Faculty of Law, as well as numerous courses and training on environmental protection, in 2014, I practically combined my knowledge and experience in telecommunications with environmental protection. The new position at Telekom Srbija was to deals with Environmental Impact Assessments of mobile telephony base stations, which included: studies, measurements of electromagnetic radiation, public education, etc. At the same time I was engaged in numerous activities in the field of environmental protection and, above all, biodiversity as the most important segment of sustainable development, both in the company and outside it. I am an associate of the Animal Marking Center at the Natural Museum in Belgrade, with an "A" license for bird ringing, I have a certificate from the Norwegian University Nord-Trondelag about the identification of bird species, I also work on satellite telemetry, i.e. monitoring of endangered species, I have led campaigns in the field biodiversity protection in Telekom Srbija, etc. Since I have an IRCA certificate, SGS, as a Leading Auditor according to ISO14001: 2015 standard, I participated in the introduction of this standard in the company.
