  Zakary Myers is a My name is Zakary Myers. I am a proud Two-Spirit member of the Fort Nelson First Nation with ancestral connections to the Denendeh (people of the land) on my maternal side. I am also third generation settler-Euro-Canadian on my paternal side. I am honoured to be a guest on the lands and waters of the q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie), and qʼʷa:n̓ƛʼən̓ (Kwantlen) Nations. I started my adult journey at Vancouver Island University in 2010 and have been blessed with various career opportunities in education, government and not-for-profit sectors. Since then, I have had great experiences as a policy analyst, classroom teacher and administrator which led me to pursue a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership. In 2021, I founded Golo Sah Consulting - an Indigenous-owned and operated educational consulting organization that focuses on supporting the inclusion of Indigenous perspectives in unique project development (i.e., curriculum, grant writing, programming, etc.) and oversight. Since then, I have reignited my fire to help offer my expertise in supporting organizations that are actively working towards decolonization, reconciliation, and a more equitable and just society. Recently, my journey has led me to work for ARC Foundation as the Indigenous Dialogues Lead for SOGI 1 2 3, a program designed to help educators make K-12 schools safer spaces of learning for gender-diverse students, staff, and community members. Helping lead SOGI-inclusive education is a passion that I am privileged to hold and share with the world. After spending the last four years building Golo-Sah Consulting, doing professional development, and dedicating myself to inclusive education, I’ve decided to expand my horizons and allow myself to be open to what the world has to offer.
