Zach Fish Email & Phone Number | Coming out of high school, I wasn't sure what to do other than work, and I also had the choice to go to college while continuing to work part-time. I decided to go to Penn State Capital College near home while working primarily in the food service industry throughout school. I didn't know what to go to college for, so I decided to go for marketing since I enjoyed that class in high school and knew I would do okay. I started out not performing that great my first year, but decided to dedicate myself and came away graduating with a 3.4 overall GPA. After graduating from college with a degree in Marketing, I was strictly looking for "marketing" based jobs, but quickly decided to dive into other areas, which led me down the supply chain management/IT project management path at my local Naval base. I started my career with developing training modules for the various SAP roles given to users for access to the SAP system. The Training team I joined was completely new, with new IT tools never used before within the department/NAVSUP as a whole. This required us as a team to learn on our own, along with develop a set of standards/rules to rollout training at a good pace. I quickly excelled and began to train other new users on the position/IT tools used while also creating trainings at a fast/efficient pace. After about two years on the Training team I was given the opportunity to transition over to the Site Standup/Inventory Management (IM)/Warehouse Management (WM)/Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT)/Repair team. I primarily focused on site standup/site conversion related projects, which encompassed nearly every SAP functional area (to include IM/WM/HAZMAT/repair). I also worked directly with the Navy fleet, in capitalizing Navy hulls with a certain set of Navy materials. This position required me to lead projects that included many folks (many times 75+ people) located around the world. I enjoy and excel at what I do, to the point where I thrusted myself into a new position that did not exist before me, being the Repair Lead for NAVSUP BSC. As the Repair Lead for NAVSUP BSC, I handle any/all system changes related to repair (testing, training, processing issues/trouble tickets, upgrades/enhancements, system outages, etc.). This position allowed me to take on a new role and continue to progress in my career, while staying within the same department/code to assist the incoming team members/lead get up to speed and bounce any questions they had off me.
