Planned the Training of Trainers (TOT) courses that aimed at familiarization and institutionalization of the National Policy on Disaster Prevention and Management (NPDPM). The target groups for the training were the zonal and district levels government officials responsible for the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the policy. In each training about 30 government officials attended the training. The Institutional Support staff also took the courses in order to follow-up and lead the subsequent training at grass-root levels. Designed the curriculum for the courses for whole program that include the training cycle, facilitation techniques and skills, gender mainstreaming in the disaster prevention and management. Coordinated and facilitated the training courses (Trainers for TOT1, TOT2, TOT3. Prepared the training materials and the proceedings.Render Development and Market Research, Training, and Consultancy Service Render Consultancy service and technical supports on program development and management. Conduct Research, Assessment and Evaluation, Gender Sensitive Market Research Service Facilitate Capacity building Training, Stakeholder forum and Consultations. Conduct gender analysis, gender audit and gender assessments.Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) Adviser requires a multi-disciplinary knowledge and experience on key approach and areas of the Enterprise Partners (EP) engagements for providing a strategic leadership on promoting WEE throughout the program cycles -designs, implementations, reviews and leaning. She is expected to provide overall and interventions-specific guidance and advisory services for management, interventions managers and cross cutting team to effectively mainstream WEE with a focus on creation of women’s jobs, income, savings, increased engagements and turnover of women’s enterprises/service providers. Under the supervision and guidance of Enterprise Partners’ Portfolio Manager, WEE Advisor expected to render i) Overall guidance and advice for Enterprise Partners Team for mainstreaming gender and WEE at higher levels; ii) Specific guidance, advice and technical support at various stages of EP interventions. iii) strategic support on developing, managing and supporting WEE/gender specific intervention(s).• Partnership, program & financial management through all program cycles, management of partners’ grants, fund raising, facilitate training, reporting and documentation, advisory and mentoring support to partners. Specifically I: • Capacity building through training of implementing partners to mainstream and institutionalised gender, to increase women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, and assertiveness skills. • Training and capacity assessments of implementing partners developed training material and tools for training participants. • Overall program development, guidance and advising to different programs as member of senior advisory group. • Advisory and backstopping implementing partners • Program development fund raising • Reporting and presentations. • Planned, organized, coordinated, supervised and directed all areas of Relief, Rehabilitation and development program activities; prepared program and annual budget and follow its utilization. • The programs were rural and covers diverse areas including food-security, agriculture, environmental rehabilitation, relief and rehabilitation, water and sanitation, alternative basic education, HIV/AIDS, etc. Gender and Environment were integral part of the overall programs as were crosscutting issues in addition being standalone projects. • Initiated and guided in developing proposals community development programs (food security, HIV/AIDS; IEC/BCC, alternative education; good governance etc.) • Facilitated, and guided studies and assessments -environmental assessment, gender analysis etc. and thematic studies like water harvesting, PRA, • Financial management - annual and program budgeting, supervise the utilization. • Led the organization for over a year and deputize on several occupations in the absence of the country director. • Ensured mainstreaming of cross cutting issues –gender, environment, governance and HIV/AIDS. Prepare relevant action plans with adequate budgeting, and follow up its implementation and impacts. • Liaison and networking with partners –donor, line ministries and bureaus, NGOs and CBOs. • Fund-raising • Documentation and reporting to donors and government counter parts. • As a member of senior technical advisory group responsible for overseeing and quality assurance, and rendering technical and policy guidance to different projects/programs within the organization.• Responsible for overall monitoring and evaluation of the USAID funded food security program titled EMPWER that were implemented in Amhara National Regional State and Southern Nations and Nationalities. • Result based gender responsive M & E system, plans and impact tracking developed and applied. • Developed and facilitated outcome tracking tools, periodic surveys etc. • Facilitate and coordinate long term and short term training, • Facilitate for ensuring female farmers access to technologies and easing the workloads.• Played pivotal roles in development of new development program proposals especially in areas of food security, agriculture, environmental rehabilitations, gender and HIV/AIDS and took part in strategic plan development. • Appraised/reviewed various development projects/programs documents presented for NCA supports. • Planned, monitored, evaluated and coordinated long-term development projects/programs funded and implemented by NCA. • The programs were implemented in various parts of the country including Amhara, Tigray, Southern nations and nationalities, Oromiya, etc. • Conducted and led various mid and end of project evaluations funded by NCA • Designed, planned & facilitated series of regional, national, and local multi-stakeholders consultations, trainings, conferences. • Capacity building of implementing partners through training and joint actions, coaching • Advisory and backstopping services to implementing partners.
