I support the economists in my section in policy work, such as the Financial Stability Report published by the Board twice a year as well as academic research. Previously I finished an MSc program in Inequalities and Social Science at the London School of Economics. My academic career started at Bard College at Simon's Rock the early college when I was 16. I originally wanted to pursue a degree in engineering, however, after taking a few economics courses, I decided to major in economics instead. I was fascinated by how economic theory and econometrics can be used to advise policymakers to better society and lift people out of poverty such as those in the area I grew up. Indeed growing up in one of the poorest regions of Pennsylvania has always led me to be civic minded and majoring in economics was an obvious method to combine my quantitative skill set with a civic oriented career.
