Xiqiu Liu Email & Phone Number | I graduated from University of Science and Technology of China in July 2012 with a PhD degree in Biomaterials. I have gotten the research experience with the pharmaceutical enterprises as junior scientist in AstraZeneca’s innovation and research center of China for 6 months, and as summer intern in Jiang Su Heng Rui Medicine Co. LTD for 2 months. I have worked as a Researcher at the CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique) in Grenoble of France for 3 years, with the support of ARC (Association Recherche contre le Cancer) grant. I have already worked for about 10 years in the area of cancer therapy and biotechnology. My PhD thesis was “Nucleic acid and drug delivery by nanoparticle systems for cancer therapy”, which belonged to a multi-discipline research field, combining molecular, cellular biology, immunology with nanotechnology. I have gotten a lot of training both in vitro and in vivo for drug delivery. During the past 4 years as a postdoc and researcher, I focused on different factors of matrix (stiffness, protein presentation, etc) that affect tissue engineering and cancer metastases. I have published 12 articles as the first author or a co-author. For the grant writing, I applied for and successfully obtained the financial support from ARC to perform my research since April 2013. Besides, I am an important participant in several cooperative projects, such as “Chairs of Excellence Program” of Nanosciences Foundation in Grenoble, and “Cai Yuanpei program” between French and Chinese labs. I have given 11 presentations at international conferences during recent years, including 3 oral presentations. Meanwhile, I have plenty of experience of research supervision as an advisor mentor for master students from European Erasmus program, on bibliography study, experiment training, and report writing. Last but not least, except of fluent in English, I can communicate with people in common French as I have lived in France for more than 3 years.
