I work across sectors, functions, hierarchical levels, and cultures to build relationships that fuel lasting results, and I’m passionate about using that skill in service to a better future. To further prepare for this challenge, I recently designed my own honors degree program at the University of Texas that combined environmental and conservation education with a thorough study of the relationships between government, corporations, and non-profits. Merging formal education with my project management experience and people-centric approach will allow me to plan and execute strategic programs to bring your organization’s vision to life and, ultimately, save the world. It will take hard work and passionate commitment to mitigate our current ecological concerns and adapt to a new norm. Preventing future issues will be even more challenging; we’ll need to transform our well-established paradigm into one where humanity acknowledges the inherent value of nature and the ecosystem services it provides. That work can’t succeed with a bludgeon, however. Interacting with and learning from those with different conventions, values, and perspectives invigorates me. I’m fortunate that my time at Nike enabled me to turn my natural empathy and fascination with diversity into a skill for untangling conflict and building consensus within a multicultural framework. I look forward to meeting you!
