Winter Wilson is a I'm a climate tech marketing & communications expert with experience both founding and consulting with startups in the space. I'm fascinated by early-stage innovation in climate, and believe in the power of storytelling to amplify and accelerate the scale and growth of these solutions. Let's connect! I started backpacking through national parks across the United States with my family when I was eight years old, and adopted environmental advocacy in my early teens. After discovering themes of environmental injustice in my Appalachian Ohio hometown, I became increasingly interested in sustainable development, climate change adaptation and the ways in which environmental degradation disproportionately affects vulnerable communities around the world. It was through the Stanford University Innovation Fellows program that I discovered the tools of interdisciplinary communication, clean technology, innovation, design and social entrepreneurship, and I have been working to bring these different disciplines and solutions together since. I helped found a climate venture during my time at Yale, which exposed me to the ways in which strong communication and marketing can fuel the success of innovation. I decided to join the team at Joules Accelerator to be able to work with different startups in the space. I hold a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University and both a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Ohio University's Honors Tutorial College, with a minor in French. When I'm not working in climate tech, you can find me building my artist and songwriting career, writing and producing music while playing shows every week in Nashville, TN. If there's more free time, I'll be reading, traveling, hiking, backpacking, or training for my next triathlon.
