As Director of Consumer Services for OWBC I managed a wide gambit of services involving Housing, Environmental Health, Planning, Building Control, Highway Engineering, Community and Cultural Development and Technical Services. A challenging but very rewarding position. For the final 2 years of my career I was the Chief Executive of OWBC. On retirement I wanted to share my extensive knowledge and expertise with others, preferably with a charitable organisation. I am grateful to New Directions for giving me that opportunity.
