The work of his spirit in my life is at the center of my personality, decision making, character, love, and passions. In light of this, I always strive to be the best I can be at every job I am given in order to honor my savior. I played baseball growing up and through high school, but once I entered college I realized I wanted to start contributing to society in a more meaningful way. I found an entry level opportunity at Perfect Game and began working there as a part time employee. As I worked with Perfect Game while pursuing a degree in Computer Science, I was able to gain a lot of valuable work experience as a manager, which led to an opportunity to work for Apple as an Apple Care customer service representative. At Apple, I was challenged to develop my communication skills so that I could provide a more efficient and positive experience for customers who needed help with their Apple devices. I was also able to learn and practice core troubleshooting concepts that helped me in my studies. I enjoyed the role I had at Apple greatly, but I ultimately wanted to be in a position where I could use my skills as a programmer. In order to apply the skills I was learning through my education at Kennesaw State University, I pursued a software engineering internship with COUNTRY Financial and was hired on during my Junior year. At COUNTRY, I was exposed to many new technologies, methodologies, and concepts as a member of the platform engineering team. I began to take interest in public cloud, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Gitlab, and automation. It was in this platform engineering role that I began to see which areas of the industry interested me the most, and when it became clear that I would have an opportunity to work full-time for COUNTRY after graduation I happily accepted because my experience was so great and I enjoyed working with my team so much. It is very early in my career and I am looking forward to seeing where my skills can be used and who they can benefit.
