I have developed comprehensive and robust fire strategies to ensure that all clients are provided with the optimal fire safety solution, whilst taking into account architectural and functional objectives. In 2016 I had obtained a Masters in Fire Safety Engineering. In the summer of 2015 I accomplished an undergraduate degree in BSc Civil Engineering. In my time at Ulster University I also achieved a Diploma in Professional Practice. This application was achieved at FireSERT during my year of placement, allowing me the opportunity to participate within the LOCAFI Project regarding the evaluation of Annex C of Eurocode 1991-1-2 (2002). I used the knowledge within this subject and applied it to my final year dissertation, achieving a significantly high grade. I have many ambitions within the world of engineering, particularly with regards to fire. An aim is to to achieve chartered status within the fire industry, and possibly Engineers Ireland, within the near future. It is important to plan correctly however and therefore to achieve these aims I will need a foundation. This is applied through the objective on adapting to the professional working environment, whilst developing as an engineer and learning new skills. It is within this foundation that I will aim to build as well as plan to apply the experience and knowledge gained to aid on the route to chartership.
