The training and capacity building needs to happen in the communities. I am passionate about taking care of our environment because it has sustained our people for generations. If we don't take care of what we have, there will be nothing for the many generations to come. I have been fortunate to work with the Tribal people for the past 20 plus years and I see that we have many commonalities, whether your in Point Barrow or South east Alaska or Tribes in the lower state. The struggles are much the same, the challenges may be different but our passion for our culture is steadfast. I have been blessed to do the work that I do and hopefully it is making a difference for our people and the many generations to come.
