He was Chair of the London Chapter for two consecutive terms and instrumental in launching GETSET, a National Engineering Month (NEM) Event that has seen its 18th year. He is a recipient of an OACETT Merit Award for contributions to the London Chapter and bestowed the Thomas William Hopson Memorial Medal for his ongoing Medical Missions overseas with the Children of Chernobyl Association. Mr. Le Faive has been an instructor for the Biomedical Engineering Program at Fanshawe College and has worked for London Health Sciences Centre for the past 25 years. He has served as councillor for both the Professional Affairs and Services Board (PASB) and the Institute of Engineering Technology of Ontario (IETO). As councilor, Le Faive has been involved with Engineering Technology College Course Accreditation, Prior Learning Assessment Review, Professional Practice Course Review and Discipline and Appeals. He currently is involved with CPD policy and was Chair of the 3 & 6 year Policy review. Presently Mr. Le Faive is Vice President of IETO, member of the OACETT Administration Board (OAB), and chair of the IETO Executive Committee and the Fellow Nominating Committee.
