As a seasoned teacher, Vilma has taught elementary and secondary students at LAUSD. Vilma is bilingual in English and Spanish and has taught in Title I schools across Los Angeles Unified School District. In addition to her role as a teacher, she has worked as a case supervisor providing home visits for Los Angeles and Santa Clara counties, providing behavioral support services for clients contracted with Anthem Blue Cross. Vilma is committed to promoting positive behavior change in individuals across the Autism Spectrum and those with intellectual disabilities from under-resourced Latino communities. She has been consistently recognized for her innovative and interdisciplinary approach to learning, resulting in a positive and engaging experience for all levels of learners.
