Primary responsibility: -Overlooking exposure with vessels’ readiness (ie. hull / hold condition, technical condition) for effective planning. -Assist Ops Managers as required in day-to-day issues, motivate team members to come up with solutions, drive issues independently -Driving closure - Handling pending claims / outstanding’s timely. -Oversight of voyage / post voyage evaluation -Improvement initiatives in support of continuously improving the commercial operations customer service offer in the region. - Maintain open dialogue with Commercial / Chartering colleagues, addressing issues to ensure smooth operations - Identify areas of improvement, plan and impart training as required in discussion with director / chartering -Promote group discussions within the team and communications across various desks within the office and other offices as well. -Ensure the daily tasks are performed by the team in timely manner by allocating workload in line with individual’s and team’s capacity. - Prioritize tasks and enquiries received to ensure smooth operations and communication across departments and within the team. People management, including: Evaluation of team members incl. salary discussions with management. Team building, screening applicants through interviews / meetings and suggesting potential new candidates to management. Leave planning for team members Training of operations team (new and current) to ensure necessary standards are achieved / maintained. Performance review for Ops Managers. Promote company culture and lead by example
