  Victoria Ngo is a Dr. Victoria Ngo is an Associate Professor at CUNY Graduate School for Public Health and Health Policy and Director of the CUNY Center for Innovation in Mental Health. Also a licensed clinical psychologist and adjunct scientist at the RAND Corporation, she specializes in mental health implementation science, quality improvement, and global mental health. She has extensive expertise in developing, evaluating, and building capacity for mental health integration for a variety of health platforms in the U.S. and abroad. She has led several large-scale projects to implement evidence-based interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy, for depression and anxiety for underserved communities in Los Angeles, Ventura, and New Orleans. Since 2001, she has worked in Vietnam to develop mental health research infrastructure and clinical capacity. As Co-Director of the Vietnam Children's Mental Health Research Training Program, she helped establish the first clinical psychology graduate program in Vietnam in 2009. Ngo also led an initiative to task-shift depression care to primary care providers which successfully increased access and quality of mental health care in two provinces in Vietnam. Currently, she is funded by NIMH to extend depression care integration into microfinance services for poor women to address both poverty and depression. In Uganda, she studies the impact of depression on public health outcomes for HIV patients and has successfully integrated depression services in 10 HIV clinics. She is also involved in numerous policy efforts to promote and support mental health services worldwide.
