I'm especially interested in product design focused on accessibility, medical devices, biotechnology, and healthcare innovation. I began my professional career at Allevi (which was acquired by 3D Systems in 2021) as a Mechanical Design Engineer. I designed and managed new hardware products from ideation to production. While I enjoyed my role at the <20-person biotech start-up, I realized I wanted to expand my experiences to focus more on the product management side versus the engineering side. As I've progressed in my career, I've enjoyed taking on more of a leadership role on the team, communicating with a variety of stakeholders to align product priorities, and getting more opportunities to connect with end-users. Additionally, after graduating from Penn, I launched a start-up company based on a product I developed during my capstone in my master's program. Swiv is a novel toothbrush inspired by kids with developmental disabilities but designed to make brushing better for everyone. By reducing the physical complexity required, tooth brushing becomes easier to learn, easier to execute, and easier to focus on. The product has garnered several honors, including, Honorable Mention for Fast Company's Innovation by Design: Best Student Design of 2019; showcased at the Global Grad Show in Dubai during Dubai Design week in 2019; invited to participate in the Fall 2020 cohort of the Founded In Philly Accelerator Program hosted by Philly Startup Leaders; and selected to participate in mHUB's inaugural women founder's cohort mPOWER program in early 2022. With strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, I adeptly address complex product details and look at the product from a holistic perspective to maintain the vision.
