Vahid Aryadoust Email & Phone Number | I received my PhD in applied linguistics from Nanyang Technological University (the National Institute of Education of Singapore). I am currently Assistant Professor of Language Assessment Literacy at the National Institute of Education, Singapore. I teach language assessment and communication to graduate students and in-service teachers. My other responsibilities include supervising MA and PhD students as well as serving as researcher on educational and language assessment projects. Formerly, I was Lecturer at the Centre for English Language Communication of the National University of Singapore. I taught communication skills in science and conduct research on educational and language assessment. My research focuses on the application of latent variable models, such as cognitive diagnostic assessment, structural equation modelling, and latent class models, in language and educational assessment. I have also been investigating the application of Hybrid Intelligent Models, Genetic Programming, and chaos/complexity in language assessment. I am a member of advisory boards of Language Testing, Language Assessment Quarterly, Educational Psychology, and Educational Assessment, and serve as the associate editor of the International Journal of Language Testing. I am a fan of water sports and have received the Distinction Award in aquatic rescue from the Singapore Life Saving Society.
