Initially, I headed a branch of an advertising agency, where I was instrumental in establishing a strong regional standing in online and offline advertising. My biggest learning curve in the online marketing milieu came at the famous Czech shoemaker Baťa, where I began to further explore the potential of international digital marketing. I joined a team of marketing specialists from different parts of the world, and regular reporting among the members bolstered my professional confidence. I contributed to the development of the Baťa online store, which underwent rapid growth and led to increased interest in online marketing among the company’s leadership. The team eventually moved to Prague and even considered relocating to London, but I chose to remain in South Moravia. And that turned out to be a great decision, because it opened the door to an opportunity to work with another South Moravian manufacturing giant – the wooden furniture maker TON. Gorgeous products, timeless design, and talented Czech and foreign professionals in the design ‘showbusiness’ gave me a new perspective on marketing, this time with an emphasis on aesthetics and functionality. Online marketing in this space was significantly different, and my previous B2C focus broadened to include B2B. I drew inspiration from leading designers, admiring their work at the world’s most prestigious international trade fairs. Presently, I’m working on innovative digitalization projects within the Switchio division of Monet+, where our goal is to make electronic payment processing commonplace in a number of important sectors. I’ve implemented a new marketing strategy, built a more attractive website, and deployed a variety of advertising campaigns across multiple communication channels, the most effective of which have been those targeting PPC and PR on LinkedIn. The digitalization boom of recent years has brought us many successes, and collaboration with major tech companies is allowing us to expand into some of the most challenging markets. Throughout my career, I’ve had the chance to work with people in a wide variety of industries, broadening my horizons through the regular exchange of experiences and expertise, but one factor above all others continues to drive my success as a marketing professional – my firm belief in the power of products that make a difference in the world and bring true value to those who use them.
