DIGITAL HEALTH INNOVATION AND OPERATIONS My pioneering health apps were called “the future of health care” (Physician’s Practice Journal, CNN, FastCompany, HealthLine) for chronic pain, IBS, stress, anxiety, eating disorders, and autism. Our mindfulness app was validated by randomized controlled trial (published in PNAS). I launched the first commercially available ethical placebo, Zeebo, used in combination with a proprietary outcomes tracking app to optimize placebo effects (published in Nature, Pain). I'm the co-founder of Dynamic Clinical System, a Patient Reported Outcomes platform for health systems. We enrolled more than 140,000 patients in prospective, observational studies. At DCS I worked with Cleveland Clinic, Case Western, OHSU, University of Miami, Dartmouth, MGH, BIDMS, WVU Medicine, the VA, UCSF to efficiently integrate our outcomes platform with clinical workflows. Our population-wide analyses and individual Patient Status Report improved care outcomes, enabled better informed clinical decision making at the Point of Care and enabled new care pathways. We sold DCS after ten years to Press Ganey. My roles at DCS included product development, on-site clinical integration, clinic and population-wide analyses and reporting, business development and strategy.
