I find most days commonly consist of working on many jobs in order to make sure all of them are done on time, and meet company standards and compliance needs. In addition to organization, I have become very comfortable seeing a project from concept to completion. Working as a contractor generally places most of the responsibility on my shoulders. I understand the importance of scheduling meetings with both clients and co-workers in order to make sure the design concepts are done correctly and additional needs are met. My educational background, which includes training in communication, marketing, and advertising has also provided me with experience necessary to my field. This includes a strong understanding of interpersonal communication, and the ability to effectively interpret and transfer ideas and information to others. Being able to express design concepts and concerns is paramount to the success of any position. My background in advertising and marketing has also taught me how to better sell an idea in my designs. Almost every visual piece has a message to send. It is important to be able to step back from a design and ask yourself if it really does portray the message your want, or is it just visually appealing. Being able to differentiate between the two is important.
