Generated IP (1 patent) for motor drive - innovative solution allowing simple method to provide either AC (electrical grid) or DC (microturbine bus) power supply to Fuel Gas Booster.Developed Emerson's first non-HVAC scroll compressor used to compress natural gas or waste gas for Distributed Power Generation applications, specifically for 60-120kW microturbines. Responsible for planning for manufacturing equipment and processes necessary to assemble modified scroll compressor design.Started up Emerson's first dedicated refrigeration scroll manufacturing facility. Responsible for plant automation, ABB welding robots, servo controlled presses, automated test equipment and helium leak testing. Specified automated assembly equipment, selected equipment assembly vendors (ex. Rumble Automation, Mississauga, Ontario), qualified equipment at vendor and qualified equipment in the manufacturing facility.
