Torrey Dixon Email & Phone Number | After graduating (ranked first in my class) from Averett University, I attended Duke Law School and Duke Divinity School, graduating in December of 2005. Upon graduation, I accepted a fellowship with the University of North Carolina Law School Center for Civil Rights where I worked to achieve basic life services for impoverished minority communities in southern North Carolina who had been wrongly excluded, based upon race, from annexation by surrounding “golf-richened” cities. Afterward, I served as Director of North Carolina Fairvote, a statewide nonprofit focused on educating the public on voting and election reform, and practiced criminal law in Durham. Currently, I am honored to serve as Special Deputy Attorney General for the North Carolina Department of Justice. As the Wright brothers took flight in this great state over a century ago, I believe that only the sky is the limit to what we can accomplish with a courageous commitment to the highest standards of human performance.
