This involves more strategic & operational review, across all race series. Jan 2022 I was promoted to Head of Financial Control, leading the cost cap internal audit team, payroll, tax and lastly the central finance function. This involved: Business partnering within the F1 and non-F1 teams, Updates to the exec team on possible weaknesses & suggesting improvements, Working with central finance to create an internal audit function to challenge, verify and review the numbers for compliance to the new financial regs, Establish working relationships with FIA and communicate/translate complex rules into digestible information, Spent nearly 9 years in McLaren Applied doing a very broad finance role which was directly feeding into the FD doing: weekly cashflow and comparison to budget stock accounting & improvements to WC, controls, month/year end preparation and comparison to a tusks with variance analysis Working capital review, KPIs for the transactional finance team, Revenue recognition for projects and service contracts Intangible accounting System improvements Brexit & VAT Managing the audit Business partnering with HR & IT Group reporting submissions managing at one time 6 team members (AR, AP, 3 financial accountants) and overseeing overseas subsidiaries in US and Sing.
