It was my responsibility to meet with customers to bid and secure new jobs. I would work with the city planning and inspection department to make sure that all projects were up to code. I work with engineers and architects to make sure the designs and blue prints met the customers request while at the same time they were up to code. It was also my responsibility to estimate and purchase material for all projects. I had to make sure that we stayed within our budget and deadline. I worked directly with our vendors to secure the best price and timely delivery for every project. I was responsible for hiring personnel and sub-contractors as well as letting them go if needed. In addition I supervised each project as well as physically worked on each project. I did framing, finish carpentry, cabinet building, cabinet installation, counter tops, wood flooring, laminate flooring, vinyl and tile flooring, fiberglass and wood fabrication as well as welding and metal fabrication. I also did electrical, home theater, car and home audio, plumbing, drywall, painting, and windows and doors. Our company did both commercial and residential construction as well as custom fabrication of all kinds.
