With the recent advances in molecular biology and the focus on the tumor microenvironment, along with the expansion to a multidisciplinary approach to head and neck neoplasia, this specialty is far from becoming any less demanding. This aspect is what I find most appealing. During the course of my training, I have been exposed to a plethora of ablative and microvascular reconstruction surgical techniques. I have also, engaged in academic activities that include teaching medical students and residents, designing research projects, writing research papers and grant proposals, and presenting my work at scientific meetings. My interests encompass both basic science research as well as translational/clinical research relating to head and cancer. I am a genuinely curious, hardworking, honest individual. My character is calm; my approach is professional. Patients always appreciate my friendly attitude, my smile, and humor. I am a capable, active, and productive member of the team and will step up as a leader when the situation demands it.
