I'm currently teaching Finite Mathematics at Augsburg University in Minneapolis, Minnesota as well as GED and mathematics courses for ABE and adult English learners with Roseville Area Schools. Since 1999, I've been teaching Mathematics, ESL, and sheltered ESL Math to high school, college, and adult learners in several area school districts. Additionally, I have taught digital literacy skills, including the Northstar Certification. I've also tutored high school and adult students in science, social studies, and other content areas. Indeed, I enjoy learning new things and no subject is off limits for me! Specialty: In terms of mathematics teaching, I feel my own experiences and struggles in learning math allow me to understand those who suffer various degrees of math frustration and anxiety. I like to learn new ways to solve old problems and I also have a unique ability to simplify many of the complicated concepts, processes, and algorithms such that students are able to comprehend not only the "how"​ to do something in math, but the "why"​ as well.
