The Media Systems Engineer works collaboratively with enterprise clinical practice areas, organizational partners, external practice partners (non-Mayo organizations), and others in implementation delivery and decision support of new and existing products that support numerous conferencing platforms. The Media Systems Engineer plays a critical role in supporting and managing moderately complex hardware and/or software-based systems along with complex media communication systems, using data networks, and or terrestrial transmission (fiber optics). We are also responsible for the design, construction, installation, operation, maintenance, documentation and repair of complex media communication and media information systems. The Media Systems Engineer has responsibility for standard conferencing technology deployed and supported in meeting rooms across the Minnesota and Wisconsin service area. Media Systems Engineers will work with the customer to develop proposals and work with leadership to gain the needed approvals. they will always be required to work effectively across departmental organizations at Mayo and with third party vendors and contractors. Work is reviewed upon completion for quality, timeliness, and adequacy in meeting technical and performance objectives. Standard technology platforms include Zoom and Microsoft Teams room systems, Crestron control systems, and Biamp audio systems. The Media Systems Engineer also has responsibility for administration of internal and cloud-based network infrastructure used in support of Mayo's conferencing platforms. This person will be required to work effectively across departmental organization at Mayo and with third party vendors and contractors. Work is reviewed upon completion for quality, timeliness, and adequacy in meeting technical and performance objectives. Duties include system planning, maintenance, monitoring, and security. These systems include Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Crestron Fusion/XIO Cloud, Poly Real Connect, Exacqvision, and Service Now.
