Having worked in the mechanical, civil, environmental engineering, and water utility industry; I have had the opportunity to work on teams alongside Environmental, Structural, Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical Engineers. I have been drafting for over 25 years specializing in AutoCAD. I am certified and accredited as an Associate and Professional AutoCAD user by Autodesk proving proficiency in their software and by two degrees from ITT Technical Institute. I also have experience using AutoCAD Map, Civil3D, and ArcView software. I attend Autodesk University every other year and have done so for over a decade. Throughout my youth I developed my talents in fine art by drawing, painting, and sculpting. I also had and currently have interests in the sciences. Professionally drafting has given me the opportunity to develop both interests through technical illustration. Professional Drafting means: • Meeting deadlines while working on multiple projects. • Analytically and creatively solving problems. • Having an ability to understand complex mechanical processes and translating them into illustration. • Producing technical drawings and creating illustrations through iterative processes. • Working independently while participating in a team environment. • Using good professionalism and communication skills with your team, field crews, contractors, and consultants. • Continuously researching, learning, training, and adaptability to new technology, software, and ever-changing industry standards. • Task, time, and resource management. Adaptability is key as projects are always changing. Over the years I have held the titles of Drafter, CAD Designer, CAD Operator, Cad Manager, CAD Drafter, CAD Technician, Senior CAD Technician, Engineering Technician, Computer Aided Design Technician, Cad Drafter, Drafting Design Specialist, and Project Manager. In my personal time I enjoy pencil and pen drawing, colored pencil illustration, water painting, sculpting, wood working, wood carving, 3D computer modeling design and 3D printing, diorama construction, leatherwork, camping, hiking, photography, 1800’s period and cosplay costume design and sewing, gardening, and reading.
