Seven years after that, my College instructor retired, and the Dean of the department asked if I had considered applying for the instructor position. Me, a teacher!? That wasn't the plan! But once I sat down and talked to the Dean, had conversations with others, I decided to apply. I WAS a teacher, but in my eyes I was a trainer. I was offered the position the next day after I interviewed. I was surprised. I am blessed to teach the program I was once a student of, I knew of the good, the bad, and what the program needed for improvement. Years later, I don't see myself doing anything else! It is very rewarding to see students walk across the stage and receive their college degree, that I helped them complete.
