Tina Dearagon Email & Phone Number | My last career transition started with an invitation to join a group investigating conflict minerals and led to my establishing and leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ITW's global responsible sourcing program – including supplier due diligence, risk and diversity, spanning over 400 manufacturing locations and thousands of suppliers. This opportunity allows me to explore the intersections of human rights, ethical sourcing, supply chain, supplier due diligence, corporate sustainability and legal compliance. I’ve experienced personal growth in areas previously unexplored like program management and development; mentoring, team alignment and servant leadership; policy and procedure development; presentation skills, public speaking and enterprise communication. Along the way I’ve gained a solid foundation of industry knowledge and a reputation as a well-respected subject matter expert. Keeping up in this continually evolving field is something I enjoy as I am a forever learner. One of my favorite learning experiences took place at my alma mater, Loyola University Chicago, as part of their Business and Social Impact Program’s first cohort. Together with local and global peers from various sectors we explored innovative CSR; sustainable management and finance; diversity, equity and inclusion in business; impact investment and social enterprise and examined broader questions around enlightened capitalism and building an economy to serve all – an informative and inspiring experience. Cross-functional collaboration and advising are my strong suits. As a systems thinker I use my knowledge and these skills to lead across ITW and within external multi-stakeholder initiatives. Together with industry peers we strive for simplicity in this complex space and work to influence from a corporate perspective, together for change. My aim is to drive positive impact and value creation for ITW and its supply chains, customers, and communities. Together with my internal team, we deliver year-over-year responsible minerals compliance improvements, utilizing a “Think Like a Customer” mindset. My Emotional intelligence (EQ) helps guide my efforts and build resilience as the responsible sourcing space becomes increasingly complex. Other topics I find interesting include regenerative agriculture, social justice and recycling. Volunteer work on local government commissions and committees allows me to work on some of these topics. I continue to read up on the rest and plant seeds wherever I can to grow influence toward a better world for all.
