Having been removed from the bent upside down car by the Firemen & Ambulance men there was no detectable pulse or breathing but as i was on my back my facial injuries were bleeding. 10 day ITU, 4 days in a ward then home. That finished me being a postie with the exercise benefits it provided. Eventually it was diagnosed as Trigeminal Neuralgia (The Suicide Disease) which is the trigeminal nerve suffering injury somewhere along its length of each side when it travels thru' the brain then splits into 3 with one being the forehead, another being the nose to ear & top jaw line with the third being the bottom jaw. It's defined as the worse agony the human's can have - women state it's worse than child birth. For me it's TN1, sudden explosions of agony that nowadays can have me taking the prescribed tablets & using a brick or mallet, headbutting a wall or biting the 2nd highest Scoville grade trinidad moruga scorpion pepper crisps or a natural chilli pepper. That's it for me as they can't operate within the brain because it's caused by injury. There is TN2 which is continual agony caused by the nerve being involved with a blood vessel & the pulse has worn away the Perineurium nerve sheaf. The operation is microvascular decompression where a pad of Teflon separates them. One of the major discoveries on the web are groups of sufferers & carers who know what & how lonely it is to suffer & the immense relief of finding & joining them means you're not alone in this world & we all know exactly what it's about. My message is simply do not under any circumstances travel when or if the driver has had contact with alcohol or classed drugs. Life is too precious to mess about with.
