After graduating with my B.S. in Communications and Ministry in ‘20, I am pursuing a career switch, looking for a remote position. Here is my back story: My Husband and I started our family young. I began my work experience as a CNA, working minimal hours for several years, aside from raising our children. This position deeply fulfilled my passion of giving dignity, joy and hope to others. When my grandmother entered in to the late stages of huntington's disease, I stopped working as a CNA and took care of her. During this time, I decided to pursue a switch in career by beginning my Undergrad studies in Communications and Ministry. I became an advocate for Huntingtons Disease with the Huntington Disease Society of America (HDSA) and found my passion for public speaking. I have had many opportunities to speak publically since then on various topics as a Committee Member for the Silver Lake Splash in North Saint Paul and during mission trips with my local church. One such instance was in Nairobi, Kenya at the New Dawn Education Center infront of 50+ young woman. My passion to come alongside others and walk through life with them together is interwoven in everything I do. I began mentoring Middle School aged children at my church, was given the opportunity to create a lesson plan and teach for over 500 students during our VBS in 2019 with a focus on creating a passion for local and global Ministry, and became a Lead Teacher for children 1st-5th grade. My passion for teaching overflows into my home life as I continue to homeschool our children. We just finished our sixth year which offers the flexibility, freedom, as well as keeping God at the center of our lives. I have continued in my current positions of influence, began Quality Homeschool Content Co. blogging, editing, and copywriting for homeschool companies, and feel ready for the next big step in my career.
