I maintained and improved all machinery used in producing PZT powders, such as Patterson Kelley V blenders, Littleford Day mixers, Batching systems, large double fluid spray dry system as well as a smaller single fluid system that we built, Isostatic Press, large and small Hydraulic presses, Sweco mills wet and dry, scales, Kilns large and small, forklifts, power washers installed at spray dryers, slip cast operation and all the computer programs we use to keep track of our powders. I believe I know more about producing ceramic powders than anyone left here at Harris. I supervised from 17 to 20 employees for this 15 years managing these departments. Recently we got a new production manager who is moving things around. I was transferred to Supply Chain where I will be concentrating on Inventory of raw materials and finished powders, buying raw materials and supporting the Powder operation. The people I trained over the last 15 years will now move into supervising roles in these departments. I will be here if they need me for consulting. I am excited about my new role. I feel that I have earned it and I look forward to maintaining our powder inventory at 99.9% accuracy and keeping our powder prices at levels that we can make a profit on. I just want to be of value to my employer and I will gladly take on any challenge they give me. I am 69 but I have to show my ID to convince people since I don't look my age. I am very healthy and I plan on working for as long as I can. I like people and I enjoy my work.
