I am a professional artist and educator whose work has been incorporated into brand development for the Master Gardeners of Greater Kansas City. I created and have been the Chairman of the Marketing and PR Committee for the MGGKCfor four years. I have written or edited all articles and press releases published in local Kansas City gardening publications. I managed a campaign to build a stronger brand for the group, which includes a descriptive brochure, a logo which I designed, all flyers and brochures produced for Master Gardeners, and a media packet that sets the protocols for all publications and advertising for the group. My personal artwork incorporates watercolor, acrylic, and fabric collage--individually or combined. In the 1980s through mid-2000s, I exhibited in many venues of group shows across the United States. My work consists of patterns used to create 3-D images, which would work well for fabric or wallpaper design. I have over 15 years experience in teaching college-level students in art and design. I also have experience with exhibition installation and design, writing proposals for art exhibitions, grant writing, and group management. I want to find a position that can use my specific talents in writing, editing, and/or branding; a gallery in which to show my work or to manage.
