Her technical areas of expertise include atificial intelligence and machine learning (AIML), advanced image processing, computer vision for EOIR sensors and systems engineering for the DoD. Focus areas include Automatic Target Recognition (ATR), detection, tracking, dentification, ID, Autonomy, and Course of Action decision making. Prior to L3Harris, she served as Director of Engineering for SenTech LLC and Chief Engineer for Lockheed Martin. She has also worked at the US Army's Night Vision Lab as a Subject Matter Expert, Director of Image Processing for DRS Technologies, and was a Faculty Researcher for the Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State. Dr. Pace has 14 patents and has published numerous papers. She is a Fellow of IEEE, Past President of the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society, and is a past Editor-In-Chief for the AESS Magazine. She served as Chair of the SPIE Defense and Commercial Sensing Symposium, Associate Editor for Machine Vision and Applications Journal, HKN's Board of Governors, and a Graduate Faculty Scholar (co-chair) in the college of graduate studies at UCF. In addition Dr. Pace is a member of UCF CREOL College of Optics Board, SPIE, IEEE’s Women in Engineering society, IEEE's Signal Processing society and a life member of the HKN Engineering Honor Society. Dr. Pace was awarded the Lockheed Martin Nova Award for Outstanding Individual Technical Excellence, the highest technical award given by the Lockheed Martin Corporation, and Lockheed Martin's Apex Individual Contributor Award.
