I am ACLS certified, BLS certified, MAT-trained in buprenorphine, and trained in CBI verbal crisis intervention. I am currently being trained in POCUS, injections, IV insertion, splinting, and more. I am passionate about community outreach, with recent experience doing free sports physicals, first aid at karate tournaments, intake coordinating at a free health clinic, and packaging food at the local food bank. Prior to PA school, I was a certified EMT for 3 years, where I worked in emergency response on the ambulance and I held a position as an ER tech for over a year as well. My most recent role was as a Medical Technician for a mobile urgent care - Dispatch Health. Through these experiences, I have gained top notch critical thinking skills and various hands-on skills, such as phlebotomy, IV catheter insertion, foley and intermittent catheter insertion, and splinting. I spend my free time officiating basketball, volunteering, and mentoring aspiring PAs/EMTs. As a former college graduate, I have a strong base of knowledge in medical terminology, research, anatomy, physiology, laboratory processes, and microbiology. I also played four years of D2 basketball and served as team captain, which sharpened my leadership and team-building skills. Last fun fact about me - I own and operate two hospitality businesses in the Phoenix area. I will soon be relocating to North Carolina to spend my clinical year learning and giving back to an underserved community at a local community health center. With aspirations to continue my PA journey passionately pursuing advocacy and leadership in medicine, I am now utilizing all opportunities to network and push myself to learn and gain quality experience in healthcare. I want to prepare myself to be the best provider I can in the future. Knowledge is power and I aspire to continue building upon my skill sets and knowledge to go out and be a positive force in the medical world.
