Growing up in a rural, beautiful village in Austria, in a family firmly entrenched in the hospitality business, I never dreamt of running one in Singapore - yet, I have always had dreams, and a tendency and tenacity to make them happen! From a small girl taping a beer, frying a schnitzel and serving both to an unexpectedly early guest, through a respected fixture in Munich's bar and restaurant scene who established, implemented, re-invented and run a few venues before becoming a co-owner and managing director of a large and successful modern Bavarian restaurant, I had moved to Singapore, learnt the specifics of the market here, and have finally become the General Manager of Paulaner Bräuhaus Singapore, the oldest microbrewery in town. The countries and circumstances may have changed, but my track record remains a constant - as a creative yet hard-working leader with a passion for people, life-long learning and a vision for success, I consistently deliver, whether launching or turning around bars and restaurants. Since I believe in fairness, in people, in relationships, therefore, beyond the sales growth, or a number of successfully implemented sustainability measures, I am particularly proud of conceiving and establishing Damenwahl, a networking event for German-speaking ladies in Singapore, and securing high-calibre patronage for the initiative. So if the path to success starts with People and goes on with Processes, Product, Partnerships, and Positioning, I am grateful to now have the support from a 'sixth P', the strong brand of Paulaner, on my personal and professional journey.
