Sven Sommers Email & Phone Number | I have had two major passions throughout my life: the law and aviation. I have been lucky enough to be able to pursue both. I received my pilot's license at age 17 while still in high school. Since then I have been checked out in three different types of aircraft. I have also volunteered with the Collings Foundation's Wings of Freedom Tour for the past seven years. The Wings of Freedom Tour travels the country bringing vintage WWII aircraft to towns across the nation. In my seven years with the Tour, I have been able to serve as the flight engineer on their B-17. I have also been lucky enough to be able to pursue a career in the legal field. I began my practice in 2010, focusing on DUIs and other traffic offenses. I will also handle other issues, such as divorce and personal injury on a case-by-case basis. While in the legal field, I have been able to work with a cause close to my heart: Veterans issues. I have been involved with the Veterans Legal Support Center, first as a student, and now as a volunteer attorney. I have handled dozens of cases dealing with their disability issues. I also co-authored an amicus brief for the United States Supreme Court in the case of Snyder v. Phelps (the father of a deceased Marine sued the Westboro Baptist Church for the damage caused by picketing the funeral of his fallen son). Besides the law and aviation, I also enjoy SCUBA diving, golf, and reading books on all sorts of topics and issues.
