I also completed a year and a half of full-time coursework in fine art photography, while teaching international relations at Rochester Institute of Technology. I completed a PhD in Political Science from Harvard University in 2011. My doctoral dissertation, Measuring Change in Immigration Policy, was published in 2014 as a monograph in the New Americans series by LFB Scholarly Publishing. For five years, I lived alongside and shared meals with Harvard undergraduate students as a Resident Tutor, and since 2017 I have joined with current Harvard graduate students to advocate, together with other alumna, for improving women's equal access to educational opportunities under Title IX.
