Susan started her industry career in Product Development first at Nuvelo and then at Genentech where she served as the clinical lead for three sBLA submissions to the FDA. Prior to joining the industry, Susan spent 6 years in clinical practice as a vascular medicine physician in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic with outpatient, inpatient, and consultative inpatient responsibilities and served as the Medical Director of the Noninvasive Vascular Laboratory. Susan received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and her Medical Doctorate from Hahnemann University School of Medicine (renamed Drexel University College of Medicine) in Philadelphia. She completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in vascular medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. Susan is a Fellow of the Society for Vascular Medicine for which she was a Committee Chair and held the elected positions of Board of Trustees Member, Secretary, and Treasurer. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and served five years on the Genentech Foundation’s Board of Directors. Susan is passionate about advancing science and enabling access to medicines that improve the lives of patients.
