As a field and research geologist, I spent approximately six years on an array of projects, including the field collection of samples for the analysis of sediments/rock and fossils to determine depositional environments, stratigraphic correlation of outcrops, and the analysis of faunal data to interpret the ecology of ancient communities of organisms. Research experience also includes ample time performing GIS mapping, sedimentary analyses, well log digitization and interpretation, thin section production and analysis, rock chip/core analysis, environmental interpretation via rock thin section and fossil analysis, age dating via amino acid racemization and geochemical analysis for carbon and oxygen isotopes.
