Ever since writing my first program in C and producing the desired output, I have been obsessed with the idea of using software to solve interesting problems. Software engineering is a never-ending puzzle that I am passionately engaged in solving. In my professional experience, I got multiple opportunities to learn and prove my skills and below are few such opportunities: - Involved in designing high scale public APIs for TestFlight - Designed and developed the network topology of data center devices simulating the traffic flow between them - Solved multi-threaded performance issues, database connection pool issues, blocked scheduler jobs, contributed to open-source liquibase JSON schema - Implemented application-level sharding solution that scaled horizontally and helped the product support hundreds of medium to large-scale customers - Designed and developed multiple libraries that helped domain-specific applications become much leaner and also tremendously enhanced the speed of development for brand-new projects Today, I am a Senior Software Engineer. Even when I leave the office, I tend to continue writing code at the house. Most recently I implemented a simple dynamic log level change that can be initiated just for a specific HTTP call thereby avoiding enabling log level across all instances and products without overloading the logs. I tend to focus on enhancing existing tools and also come up with little features that make big difference. This is what keeps me up at night, a never-ending thirst to create more efficient and powerful things and share them with the world.
