I am currently the Chairman and board member of the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance (MICG), and a non-executive independent board member of the Ombudsman for Financial Services (OFS), Metrod Holdings Berhad, and Hextar Technologies Solutions Berhad. I also provide consultancy services under SSN Consult Plt. I remain involved in policy work in the capital market and am currently a member of the SC’s Corporate Governance Council. I also continue to contribute in the area of alternate dispute resolution as a member of the Steering Committee for a single integrated dispute resolution body for financial and capital markets, in my capacity as a board member of OFS. I obtained my LLB (Hons) Degree from the University of London and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1989 and re-qualified with the Law Society of England and Wales as a Solicitor in 1990. I was called to the Malaysian Bar in 1998 and am an accredited mediator and certified trainer and coach of the Bar Council’s Malaysian Mediation Centre.
