I've also enjoyed the opportunity to volunteer with various non-profits such as Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Next Door Solutions to Domestic Violence, Silicon Valley Children’s Fund as well as serving the local Santa Clara County homeless community. In my current role as a Youth Employment Specialist at TeenForce, serving current and former foster youth, I enjoy a unique opportunity. Being able to assist these youth in developing life-changing and empowering professional skills, while connecting and partnering with them, one-on-one, in a supportive, positive, solutions-oriented role, is a true honor and privilege. There are a multitude of barriers that arise along the path of achieving their potential. Witnessing their drive and resilience in spite of these barriers and amongst a system that is currently stacked against them is truly inspiring!
