We held the world record for the world’s longest horizontal drill & have been key to many new cutting-edge techniques in drilling. I am responsible for the provision, service, and maintenance of fire-safety & emergency equipment & fire risk assessments for all 16 sites belonging to Perenco & for providing fire cover for two drilling rigs and 1 mobile workover rig, 4 valve stations along a 94km pipeline to Hamble. Responsible for the Fire Hazard management plans for the asset I work closely with Dorset Wiltshire Fire & Rescue with regard to training our staff at Westmoors Fire Training Collage and have been involved in Hydra & COMAH training for the Chief Fire Officer & senior fire officers for Dorset, along with confined space casualty training & chemical response training & face fit testing for our own teams. I am responsible for all Dorset Wiltshire Fire Brigade site familiarisation visits and conducting on site exercises with them, latest training along with the deputy Chief Fire Officer was an introduction to Wytch Farm & being a top tier COMAH site. Quantifit face fit tester for full face masks and Accufit9000 face fit tester for half masks. In all Wytch Farm keeps me very busy in a very enjoyable job.
