Steve Sherrington Email & Phone Number | I graduated in PE and History from Loughborough in 1984. I completed my PGCE at South Glamorgan Institute of Higher Education in 1987. I enjoyed 14 years of teaching PE at Mold Alun High School and Ysgol Bryn Elian. Since 2001 I have worked in Alternative Education in Conwy, an Educational facility for young people with a variety of Social Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties who have struggled to cope in mainstream education. In 2008 I was fortunate to be given the opportunity to lead the service. I lead a strong well motivated team who are dedicated to helping our students develop their skills and move on to a brighter future. I am very interested in developing strategies and programmes to help students with challenging behaviour. In Alternative Education we believe strongly in a positive approach to teaching. Our behaviour management strategy is based on Assertive Discipline combined with Positive Behaviour Management and a Solution Focussed approach.
