Steve Sertis Email & Phone Number | As Events Manager at the Bibbulmun Track Foundation (BTF) I have the fantastic opportunity to create a plethora of programs designed to get people to go bush, no matter their age, their experience or level of fitness. As I am also the Lead Guide, it means that I get out there and enjoy them too. I really love the short day walks but those that go up to 15 days long really get me fired up. I prefer the lead the camping/expeditions trips but I also get a lot out of taking the people that don't want to camp back into nature on the 8-day tours I lead. All of these get people back to nature – a disconnect which, when solved has so many benefits across so many levels of society including health, our capacity and motivation to care more for the environment, physical and mental wellbeing, productivity, self-esteem – the list just goes on and on. I think the one event that really gets these results and causes shifts in thinking and behaviour is the annual Bibbulmun Team Challenge. I have the privilege to take teams of people from a wide range of business and organisations - big and small - into the bush for the most intense four day experience. I see them get right out of their comfort zone, be challenged and confronted, grow from building on weaknesses and harness their strengths. They go back to the office with new perspectives and to quote one participant - feeling like they are super-human and can achieve anything. I love what I do!.
