In the early 90s, I was a member of the task force that developed the Uniform Task-Based Management System, a series of code sets for electronic billing by law firms for corporate clients. Subsequently, I participated in the development of electronic billing software by the Law Department of Prudential Insurance. Since 1998, I've advocated the application of project management techniques by lawyers to achieve more efficient and effective delivery of legal service. In 2007 and 2008, I devised and developed a system whereby clients of my employer's hotline service could have personal data received over that system stored within the European Union, rather than in the United States, so as to facilitate greater compliance with the data protection rules of EU member states.
