Over the past 16 years, I have deployed over 20 times in support of Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security missions and two overseas deployment in support of DOD operations. My primary responsibilities were to conduct counter-narcotic interdictions, perform maritime anti-terrorism and force protection for high value assets, and instruct other U.S. Coast Guard officers in federal and state law enforcement tactics, policy, and procedures. I also performed harbor patrols and conducted routine law enforcement procedures in U.S. territorial waters, such as conducting field sobriety tests for boating under the influence.
